The Bride of Christ is awakening from her slumber – and she is You. Everywhere we look we see signs of the times. The Lord has His hand on us, yet somehow we feel uneasy and distant, not at ease and comforted any longer. That is how you know you are awakening. Once upon a time we were able to rest easy. That is simply not the case any longer. September 11. Another earthquake, another bomb threat, another hijacking, another terrorist attack somewhere. Hamas. Isis. I hear everywhere another prophetic voice has an AWAKEN message, or songs by worship leaders beckoning us to arise and shine, for our light has come. Jesus said to work while it is still daylight because the night is coming and no one will be able to work. That is why the Lord has prompted me to write this book about waking up. He specifically told me to write a book and call it “Narco”. Honestly, I thought He wanted me to write about pharmaceutical drugs. I responded by telling the Lord I can’t write a book about drugs! I don’t know enough about them! After a while I knew that He didn’t want me to write about drugs. That is when I began to research the word itself, “NARCO”. Since God hides many meanings in the names of things I looked up the etymology of the word. “NARCO” is the root of Narcotics which is why I thought the Lord wanted me to write a book about pharmaceutical drugs. However, in my research, I discovered it is the root of not only Narcotics, but of Narcolepsy, Narcosis and many other sleep-related words. The root word “NARCO” means to lull to sleep. It’s origins are from the Greek word narke, meaning numbness; narkoo, meaning “I put to sleep”. It also means “stupor”, “narcosis”, and finally, “sleep”. I soon realized that God wanted me to write a book to His children about WAKING UP OUT OF OUR STUPOR! The children of God must wake up and unite. That is the only way we will be able to win the war on our souls … and that of our children. That is the reason for this book. To learn HOW to wake up, TO WHAT, and WHAT TO DO once you are awake. The Bride of Christ is awakening from her slumber – and she is You. 1 Corinthians 15:51-53 (NKJV) 51 Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed— 52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
